We are recruiting for our 2017 season!

How would you like to come and work for Southport’s premier leisure attraction?

We are now looking for brilliant people to work with our brilliant visitors during the 2017 season (Late March to November). Across our season you will be required to work flexible hours on all weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays. Please see our calendar on the home page for opening days here. Most jobs commence at 11am; there is no fixed closing hours for the park, but as a custom we tend to close around 6pm.

We have a variety of roles this season and are looking for enthusiastic, confident people who can provide excellent customer care and service. We expect high standards of appearance and manner to offer the very best to our visitors. We are seeking people who can demonstrate a responsible and mature attitude, are alert to customer needs, are flexible in response to the needs of the park and have excellent communicational skills.

At Pleasureland, we all share a common goal to ensure our visitors enjoy a brilliant experience during their visit by providing an excellent quality of service and promoting safety. We are therefore keen to recruit a diverse team to make our visitors feel as welcome as possible.

Available Positions

Job Title: Ride Operator
Reports To: Ride Supervisor

Please note that due to health and safety restrictions, some rides require operators to be age 18+

Job definition
To operate the parks rides safely and proficiently in accordance with the training given, and to ensure through excellent customer interaction that our guests have a great experience whilst on your ride.

Main duties:

To operate the rides in accordance with the training given using the ride manual provided
To ensure the safety of all our guests whilst on the ride
To be in full control of the ride whilst in operation and not allow unauthorised persons to operate the ride.
To adhere to the companies Health & Safety policies and procedures
To complete any of the companies paperwork as and when required
To ensure the ride being operated is clean and tidy
To ensure all queuing areas are clean and tidy
To report any health & safety or other issues as quickly as possible to your relevant Supervisor / Manager
To interact with our guests in a polite and professional manner
To keep all company property in good repair and report any misuse
To ensure a high standard of personal appearance is maintained

Job Title: Cashier
Reports To: Cashier Supervisor

Job definition:
To welcome our guests and provide first class guest experience, helping our guests to have a great day and selling them the ride funcards when required.

Main duties:

To sell funcards to guest and to advise of the options available
To take cash from guests entering the car park
To work any of the parks retail units as and when required
To help with any questions or queries the guest may have
Ensure all cash and credit card payments are processed correctly
To ensure that you’re till is correct at the end of the day.
To adhere to the companies Health & Safety policies and procedures
To complete any of the companies paperwork as and when required
To ensure the token box is kept clean and tidy
To ensure all queuing areas are clean and tidy
To report any health & safety or other issues as quickly as possible to your relevant Supervisor / Manager
To interact with our guests in a polite and professional manner
To keep all company property in good repair and report any misuse
To ensure a high standard of personal appearance is maintained

Job Title: Cleaner
Reports To: Head of Housekeeping

Job definition:
To ensure that all areas of the park, including rides and buildings, are kept clean and a high level of cleanliness and tidiness is maintained throughout the day.

Main duties:

To clean toilet blocks, eating and drinking areas, rides and general park areas.
To follow rotas for maintaining toilet blocks
To empty bins and litter pick during opening hours
To adhere to the companies Health & Safety policies and procedures
To complete any of the companies paperwork as and when required
To react to situations quickly where there is a housekeeping issue
To help ensure all queuing areas are clean and tidy
To report any health & safety or other issues as quickly as possible to your relevant Supervisor / Manager
To interact with our guests in a polite and professional manner
To keep all company property in good repair and report any misuse
To ensure a high standard of personal appearance is maintained
