Family Fun Days Out | Southport Pleasureland

Southport has something for everyone

Enjoy family fun days out at Southport

SouthportThe half term holiday at the end of May saw Southport Pleasureland alive with families and people of all ages thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Southport Pleasureland has fast become one of the best family fun days out. With rides a plenty and numerous other attractions on site such as stalls and our fantastic free daily shows, we really can entertain the masses – and if the sun is shining it makes it even more special!

We have a fantastic selection of rides available to suit everyone, high rides, fast rides, a fun house and a ghost train and with a great selection of food and drink available on site together with lots of picnic areas, we really do have everything covered. You don’t have to pay to come into our park; if you don’t want to ride but do want a coffee, come to our gift shop for some of the best beans in town!

Southport itself is a glorious place to enjoy a day out or even a short break and with summer fast approaching now is the time to start planning.

Along with Pleasureland and our shows and events, Southport beach, just across the road from the park, offers the most amazing views and with its long sandy coast-line stretching approximately 22 miles you can admire the beauty and nature of the area while enjoying some glorious panoramic views.

Southport also boasts a Grade II listed 1,000 metre long iron pier which is the second longest in the country and which has stood for over 150. A land train, which starts and finishes at Pleasureland, will take you to the end to enjoy spectacular views across to Wales and the Fylde Coast.

We are blessed with beautiful parks in the area too; King’s Gardens, the Botanic Gardens and Hesketh Park all offer lovely areas for a quiet walk, floral displays and water features/lakes.

The town centre itself makes a great diversion from more leisurely pursuits with high street names alongside more quirky and vintage retail outlets. There is also an indoor market which is open every day and a farmers’ market on the last Thursday of each month selling artisan foods from around the region.

With bars and restaurants littered around the town and promenade there is also plenty going on in the evening to keep you entertained and to make sure your day or short break is one you won’t forget.
